Gibson Austwide is seeking an experienced
Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver
to join our team at our Preston depot. This is a hands-on role within a small, dedicated team where your contribution is recognised.
About the Role:
Primarily
local pick up & delivery
work operating 12 & 14 Curtain Sided Pallet Rigids
Monday - Friday (day shift)
Work with a modern fleet of automatic trucks
Complete local pick-up and delivery runs within scheduled timeframes
Secure and transport freight in accordance with company and industry standards
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects
Complete delivery documentation and electronic records accurately
Provide professional customer service at pick-up and delivery locations
Requirements:
Minimum
2 years MR/HR driving experience (essential)




Solid understanding of
tautliner and load restraint procedures
RMS Driver History Report
Flexible and available for additional work when required
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
Previous experience in local freight or palletised freight distribution preferred
