Uplift Cranes QLD is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contracts & Claims Administrator to support our crane hire and construction operations.
This role is ideal for someone with experience working for a subcontractor in the construction or crane industry. You'll manage monthly client claims, contract administration, subcontractor documentation, statutory declarations, compliance requirements, service dockets and high-volume data entry across multiple projects.
Working closely with our operations team, you'll ensure all monthly claims and supporting documentation are accurate, compliant and submitted on time. The role is fast-paced, deadline-driven and plays a critical part in our business operations
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit
End of Month (EOM) and progress claims
accurately and within client deadlines.
Review contracts, Schedules of Rates (SoRs) and client requirements to ensure claims are compliant.
Process high volumes of service dockets using
Rover, Docketbook
and other systems.
Compile and submit all supporting documentation required for monthly claims.
Prepare
Statutory Declarations
, compliance documentation and other contractual paperwork.
Monitor and report fuel usage and environmental compliance requirements.
Maintain and update complex Excel spreadsheets used for claims, reporting and reconciliations.
Liaise professionally with Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients regarding claims, supporting documentation and payment queries.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting strict monthly deadlines.
Work collaboratively with the Operations, Allocations and Accounts teams to ensure accurate and timely claim submissions.
What we're looking for
Experience in
contracts administration, claims administration or commercial administration
, preferably with a subcontractor in the construction, civil,
mining or crane hire industry.
Demonstrated experience preparing and submitting
EOM/progress claims
and compiling supporting documentation.
Strong understanding of construction contracts,
Schedules of Rates (SoR)
, variations and client-specific claim requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately process high volumes of data.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data validation and spreadsheet management.
Experience using systems such as
Rover, Docketbook
or similar field management software is highly regarded.
Experience preparing
Statutory Declarations, fuel reporting and compliance documentation
would be advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to liaise professionally with clients, project teams and internal stakeholders.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise competing tasks.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
