Casual manufacturing and workshop all-rounder
This job is suited to someone who is looking for a day or two or casual employment and possibly leading up to more days for the right candidate.
If you like doing the same thing every day, this probably isn't the job for you!
We're a small family business where everyone works together. That means we all pitch in—from packing orders and assembling products to helping keep our showroom, workshop, kitchen, bathroom and shared areas clean, tidy and running efficiently.
One minute you could be packing customer orders, the next cutting fabric samples, then preparing materials for production or helping with product assembly. No two days are the same, and priorities can change quickly.
We're looking for someone who can happily move from one task to another as business needs change throughout the day.
Duties Include
Picking and packing customer orders
Cutting fabric samples
Preparing materials and components for production
Assembling and finishing products
Using basic hand and power tools, including a staple gun and small Dremel
Assisting with general workshop duties
Helping keep our workplace clean, tidy and organised including the workshop, retail space, kitchen, bathroom and shared areas. Like everyone in our team, you'll pitch in with light cleaning duties as required.
Assisting wherever needed to help keep the business running smoothly
About You
Is reliable, honest and punctual
Has a strong work ethic and enjoys staying busy
Can "turn on a dime" and adapt quickly as priorities change throughout the day




Doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves and helping wherever needed
Understands that in a small family business everyone pitches in, including helping keep the workplace clean and organised
Is physically capable of standing for extended periods and regularly lifting and moving boxes, materials and completed products as part of normal warehouse duties
Has a current driver's licence and reliable transport
Lives locally to the Dandenong Ranges
Has good attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work
Can work independently as well as part of a small team
Is comfortable using basic hand and power tools, or is willing to learn
Experience
Experience in warehousing, manufacturing, assembly, production or packing is an advantage, but it isn't essential.
We're far more interested in finding someone with the right attitude—someone who is dependable, adaptable, takes pride in their work and is prepared to pitch in wherever needed.
