Join a leading critical infrastructure organisation on a 12-month daily rate contract with strong likelihood of extension. You'll work within a growing, highly capable security team, taking hands-on ownership of AWS cloud security uplift across a complex enterprise environment.
About the Role
Take ownership of hands-on cloud security engineering across AWS, including design, implementation and improvement of security controls, guardrails and best-practice patterns
Partner closely with cloud, infrastructure, platform, architecture and cyber security teams to ensure AWS environments are secure, scalable and aligned to enterprise standards
Support the uplift of cloud security monitoring, logging, alerting and detection capability across complex AWS environments
Contribute to security reviews, risk assessments and remediation activities, ensuring cloud services are configured securely and aligned to internal policies
Work alongside passionate security professionals in a collaborative team where cloud security is a genuine priority
About You
5+ years of AWS security experience, ideally within enterprise, regulated or critical infrastructure environments
Robust hands-on knowledge of IAM, security groups, networking, logging, monitoring and cloud-native security services
Confident designing and implementing AWS security controls that improve visibility, reduce risk and support secure-by-design cloud adoption
Experience embedding security into technical delivery alongside cloud, infrastructure, DevOps and platform engineering teams
Strong communication skills — able to explain security risks and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Melbourne based with Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
