Nagpal Holdings t/a Dunlop super dealer Mornington is seeking an experienced
Truck Tyre Fitter
to join our team on a
full-time basis
at our Mornington, VIC location. This is a hands-on technical role that plays a crucial part in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our fleet operations. As a Truck Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of tyres on commercial vehicles, ensuring all work meets industry safety standards and regulatory requirements. This role is essential to keeping our vehicles roadworthy and our operations running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
Fitting, balancing, and removing truck tyres using specialized equipment and tools
Inspecting tyres for damage, wear, and defects, and determining appropriate repair or replacement options
Repairing punctures, sidewall damage, and other tyre-related issues using industry-standard techniques
Maintaining accurate records of tyre maintenance, repairs, and replacements for fleet management purposes
Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices
Communicating with drivers and fleet managers regarding tyre conditions and maintenance requirements
Performing routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
Working efficiently to meet daily service schedules and maintain high-quality standards
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a truck tyre fitter or in a similar automotive tyre fitting role
Robust knowledge of truck tyre types, specifications, and fitting procedures
Proficiency in using tyre fitting equipment, balancers, and diagnostic tools
Understanding of vehicle safety standards and relevant regulatory requirements for commercial vehicles
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
Physical capability to perform manual labour, including lifting and working in various positions
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose tyre-related issues accurately
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
A valid driver's license is desirable
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive or tyre fitting trades are advantageous
