Band 5 salary range of $82,****** and $94,****** (Pro Rata 0.6 FTE $49,****** - $56,******) per annum plus 12% super and annual leave loading
Temporary part time parental leave cover position (0.6 FTE)
Commencing 9 September **** and expected to conclude on 22 July ****

About the role:
In this parental leave position as Exhibitions Officer, you will be responsible for the delivery of a community exhibition program with a focus on supporting emerging artists, while also administering social media, webpages and image libraries.
Aligned with the Arts and Culture Strategy goal of fostering a visible and supported creative community, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Developing and managing the Eltham Library Community Gallery Exhibition Program, including:
Marketing and promotional activities, such as annual exhibition call-outs and exhibition collateral;
Coordinating exhibition applications and selection processes;
Planning, overseeing, and supporting exhibition installations;
Collaborating with the Arts Program Officer to deliver associated public programs, events, and workshops.
Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to Eltham Library Community Gallery exhibitors to develop their exhibition practice
Contributing content and maintaining Arts and Culture social media platforms, webpages, and image libraries, with a particular focus on promoting Gallery activities and outcomes
Providing technical exhibition support across the broader Nillumbik Shire exhibition program
Undertaking timely evaluation, reporting, and administrative activities to support the objectives of the Arts and Cultural Development Unit.
What you will bring to the role:
Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate an exhibition program, including overseeing exhibition installation and de-installation
Experience in planning and project administration
Ability to effectively plan and coordinate social media campaigns and develop communications materials
Understanding and experience in community engagement, customer service excellence and continuous improvement in service delivery
Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively with e.g. Councillors, members of the public, service users, employees and other organisations in order to achieve Council objectives.
