We are a well-established and highly profitable non-bank lending business seeking an Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join our finance team.
This is a broad, hands-on role covering accounts payable, payroll, month-end accounting, trust accounting, financial analysis and reporting across multiple entities and trusts.
We are looking for someone who values stability, takes pride in producing accurate work, and wants to become a long-term member of a successful business.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll preparation and processing
Preparation and posting of general ledger journals
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Month-end accounting activities
Assistance with management reporting
Maintaining accounting records across multiple entities
Financial analysis and reporting for several lending and investment trusts
Preparation of trust accounting workpapers and reconciliations
Assisting with audit, statutory and compliance requirements
Ad hoc finance and operational support
About You
You may have obtained your accounting knowledge through:
TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Accounting
University accounting degree
We welcome candidates from all educational backgrounds and place greater emphasis on practical capability, work ethic, reliability and attention to detail than on any qualification.
You will ideally possess
Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, assistant accounting or general accounting functions
Experience preparing journals and reconciliations
Sound accounting fundamentals
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills




A willingness to learn and take ownership of your work
A strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality work
Experience in payroll, trust accounting, financial analysis and trust reporting is not essential, as comprehensive training and mentoring will be provided.
