Position Overview
As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join ourProject Management Office (PMO) and play a key role in supporting project delivery across multiple renewable energy and power infrastructure projects. Reporting to the PMO Project Director, the Senior Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing project schedules across a diverse portfolio of complex construction projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, Construction teams, Commercial teams, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are effectively planned, progress is accurately tracked, and risks to delivery are identified early. The successful candidate will provide end-to-end planning expertise across the full project lifecycle, from tender and pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
Establish project baselines, critical paths, milestones, and resource requirements
Monitor project progress and performance against approved schedules
Identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities, providing practical mitigation strategies
Produce regular planning reports, dashboards, and project performance updates
Support project teams with look-ahead planning and forecasting activities
Assist with tender planning, programme development, and bid submissions
Facilitate schedule reviews with project stakeholders and leadership teams
Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO planning standards, systems, and reporting.
Support portfolio-level planning and resource forecasting across multiple projects.
Required Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline is desirable.
Demonstrated experience in a Planner/Scheduling Lead role within construction,frastructure, energy, utilities, mining, or related industries.
Advanced scheduling experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of project controls, critical path analysis, and earned value principles.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
