Primary and Secondary

About the Role:
This casual position involves working closely with teachers to assist students across a variety of settings, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional needs are met. The role requires a proactive, compassionate, and adaptable approach to support the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group support to students during classroom activities.
Assist teachers in implementing effective teaching and learning programs.
Support students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, tailoring assistance to meet individual goals.
Collaborate with staff to support the implementation of adjustments and strategies aligned with NCCD (Nationally Consistent Collection of Data) processes.
Supervise students during breaks, transitions, and other school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Maintain an organized and engaging classroom environment, assisting with preparation, set-up, and clean-up of materials.
Assist in the supervision of students during school events, excursions, and extracurricular activities.
Perform administrative tasks,
including photocopying, laminating, and record-keeping.
Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, contributing to a supportive school community.
About You:
We are looking for individuals who:
Hold a Certificate in Education Support or are actively pursuing qualifications in teaching or education-related fields.
Have experience working with students with diverse needs, including those requiring additional support.
Demonstrate understanding of, or experience with, NCCD processes (highly regarded).
Are skilled in interpersonal communication and collaboration with students, staff, and families.
Has ICT competencies to support classroom needs (e.g., Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint).
Is flexible, organized, and capable of making sound judgments to ensure student safety and welfare.
Is passionate about working with students with varying degrees of disability and supporting their educational needs.
Display professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity in all aspects of their work.
Have current First Aid certification and a valid Working with Children Check.
Supports the values and ethos of Adventist Education.
