As a
Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant
(also known as a Diversional Therapist or Recreational Officer) at our
Kangaroo Point aged care community
, you will play a meaningful role in enriching the lives of our residents through engaging, person-centred activities and experiences.
Working closely with the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator, you will help promote, maintain, and enhance the health, wellbeing, and social connection of residents by supporting the delivery of creative and inclusive lifestyle programs tailored to individual interests, abilities, and preferences within each household.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity requiring availability to work 8 days per fortnight. Successful candidates must be able to commit to permanent morning shifts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Things that work for us:
Availability for part-time permanent employment (minimum four days per week as per above)
Certificate in Leisure & Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy. Other relevant certificate in aged care may be acceptable.
Experience in an aged care home, implementing Leisure & Lifestyle programs including working with people with dementia
Good team work
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
Experience with Autumn Care (or similar software) with ability to maintain excellent records
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) is mandatory
