Our client is a construction head contractor and as a result of continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team to work on a $200m+ high-rise residential project amongst others.
The candidate will ideally have some experience working on head contractor side on 20+ storey high rise residential projects in the Gold Coast / Brisbane / Sunshine Coast market with local knowledge. They will also look at candidates without local experience too ideally looking with high rise residential experience.
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.




Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractorsComplete daily site diary entries Review and manage key project issues Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are madeEnsure site compound and amenities are established and maintainedOrganise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultantsAssist Project Manager with preparing scopes of workUnderstand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframesProduce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works
Qualifications and Requirements:Trade or building related qualification5 to 15+ years' experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractorsConstruction Safety Induction (White) cardSenior First Aid CertificateDesirable – Certificate IV in Occupational Health & SafetySound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sitesProven ability to lead and motivate subcontractorsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read and understand construction drawings and specificationsProficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
