About the role
Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Hospital Education Coordinator or to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis until March ****. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the professional development of our clinical workforce while contributing to outstanding patient outcomes.
Working collaboratively with our Education team, Quality, Infection Prevention and Department Leads, you will play a key role in ensuring the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of education at the hospital is well thought out and executed.

Set at the top of Wickham Terrace, Brisbane's busiest medical precinct, above the Roma Street Parklands in the heart of the CBD, Brisbane Private Hospital is an acute and rehabilitation hospital with 181 beds, 17 operating theatres and dedicated surgical, ICU and rehabilitation wards. Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, General Surgery, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.
As the Hospital Educator, your responsibilities will include:
Planning and developing the education and training programs that addresses the strategic direction of the hospital
Work in partnership with the stakeholders to deliver identified programs and education as specified in National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards
Take a leadership role in the coordination,
delivery and facilitation of education programs delivered across the facility/site and manage hospital orientation program for new employees
Leading members of the education team to ensure training/education is delivered to the highest standards
Selection Criteria:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Certificate in workplace assessment and training desirable or willingness to complete
Ability to deliver teaching programs and objectively evaluate and assess learning outcomes
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent leadership, team building and interpersonal skills
Experience of student and graduate nurse programs
