Permanent position at Rockdale Admin Building
$116,614 to $130,608 pa plus 12% superannuation

About the role
We are currently looking for a Senior Property Strategist who will work closely with other members of the Property team, on specific property related projects to facilitate the alignment of Council's property portfolio with corporate objectives and adopted strategies. The role supports strategic property initiatives including leasing, portfolio review, feasibility analysis and asset optimisation activities under the direction of the Lead Strategic Property.
The position will also assist with the general administration of Council's property portfolio and provide skilled advice and support to other departments of Council in relation to property matters.
You can also expect to:
Deliver strategic property initiatives, including leasing, licence and agreement management
Support portfolio-wide reviews of Council-owned and managed property assets to identify optimisation opportunities
Prepare property business cases, feasibility investigations and funding submissions
Support asset acquisition, disposal, land consolidation and rationalisation activities as required
Provide property ownership, tenure and compliance advice to internal stakeholders
Assist with the delivery of special property projects, including complex leasing transactions and strategic property projects to ensure that Council's property assets thrive, and opportunities are maximised
Fulfill Councils requirements associated with Native Title and Crown Lands Management in line with Crown Lands Management Act ****
Develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to identify new property asset opportunity
Advise on levels of subsidies and opportunity cost currently forgone within Council's existing building stock
Assist in developing a timetable of critical dates with the to inform Council's future redevelopment/disposal timetables
Attend committee meetings and working groups as required.
Assist with agreement negotiations and lease management as requested and required
Assist with other long-term property matters such as road closures and LPI matters
About you
We are looking for a someone who demonstrates:
Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of property management, acquisition and disposal practices
Working understanding and ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and Council policy
Current Class C Driver's Licence.

Salary Range: $116,614 - $130,608 + 12% super
