We are partnering with a Well Regarded Queensland organisation to recruit a Director, Enterprise Architecture & Transformation. This is a rare opportunity to establish and lead the enterprise architecture, governance, portfolio delivery and organisational change capabilities that will shape the organisation's future technology operating model.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technology and Information Officer, this role will provide enterprise-wide leadership across technology governance, architecture, delivery assurance and strategic transformation. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening organisational ownership of technology, improving investment governance and aligning digital initiatives with long-term business outcomes.
The opportunity:
This role is designed for a senior technology leader who can operate strategically while building the governance and delivery disciplines required to support a modern, organisation-led technology environment. You will work closely with executive stakeholders to establish architecture standards, governance forums, portfolio oversight and transformation roadmaps that enable sustainable enterprise capability.
Key responsibilities:
Establish enterprise architecture and technology governance frameworks.
Build and lead an enterprise architecture capability across the organisation.
Implement portfolio management, delivery assurance and executive reporting disciplines.




Chair or establish architecture review and technology decision-making forums.
Strengthen project, change and release governance across technology initiatives.
Assess technology risk, technical debt and vendor dependency.
Develop enterprise architecture roadmaps and strategic investment priorities.
Provide executive-level oversight of technology delivery, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation.
Support operating model evolution and enterprise transformation initiatives.
What we're looking for:
We are seeking a senior executive with a strong track record leading enterprise architecture, technology strategy and transformation within a complex organisational workplace.
You will bring:
Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, technology governance, portfolio management or enterprise transformation.
A proven ability to establish governance frameworks and architecture capability from the ground up.
Strong executive stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Experience aligning technology investment with organisational strategy and business outcomes.
Demonstrated leadership across architecture, delivery assurance, organisational change and technology operating models.
The ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution.
Experience in government, regulated industries or large enterprise environments will be highly regarded.
