About Choice Metering
Choice Metering delivers electricity and water metering solutions for embedded networks.
Our deployment team coordinates the equipment, field technicians and specialist contractors required to install and commission metering systems at new and existing sites.
As our project pipeline continues to grow, we are looking for an organised and reliable person to join our Hallam-based team as a Project Scheduling Coordinator.
About the role
Reporting to the
Project Manager – Deployments
, you will help maintain the day-to-day and forward schedule for our metering installation projects.
Your role is to help ensure that the right equipment and the right people are available at the right site at the right time.
You will work closely with our Project Manager, Warehouse Manager, in-house technicians, external contractors and clients.
This is a genuinely junior role. You will not be expected to understand metering or manage projects independently from day one. We will train you in our equipment, systems, project stages and site processes.
Key responsibilities
Maintain the installation schedule across multiple electricity and water metering projects.
Book and coordinate in-house technicians and external contractors based on availability, job requirements and agreed site dates.
Work with the Warehouse Manager to confirm that equipment is prepared and dispatched to site by the required date.
Confirm installation dates, site contacts, access arrangements and induction requirements with clients, builders and site managers.
Monitor the progress of scheduled jobs,

follow up outstanding actions and keep project systems and documentation current.
Identify scheduling clashes, access problems, missing information, equipment shortages or potential delays and elevate them early to the Project Manager.
Communicate schedule changes clearly to technicians, contractors, customers and internal team members.
About you
You do not need previous metering, utilities or project management experience.
We are more interested in finding someone who:
Is highly organised and enjoys keeping dates, people and information coordinated.
Has strong attention to detail and maintains accurate records.
Communicates confidently and professionally by telephone and email.
Can manage several jobs and changing priorities without losing track of key details.
Is reliable and follows tasks through to completion.
Is comfortable using computers and learning new software.
Has practical problem-solving skills and knows when to ask for assistance.
Works well as part of a small, collaborative team.
You should be comfortable using Microsoft Outlook and have basic to intermediate Excel skills. Training will be provided in our project, scheduling and equipment-management systems.
Experience in administration, customer service, construction administration, logistics, dispatch, field-service coordination or trades scheduling would be helpful, but is
not essential
.
A current Australian driver's licence is desirable, as occasional site visits may be required.
What we offer
Structured training in embedded-network metering, equipment and installation processes.
Direct mentoring from experienced project and operations team members.
Exposure to real electricity and water metering installation projects.
A supportive environment where you can learn without being expected to know the industry from day one.
A genuine pathway into project coordination and, over time, project management.
A stable, full-time position within a growing essential-services business.
A practical working environment where good organisation and follow-through are valued.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
