Surgery Central & Now clinic are a busy specialist surgical practice located in Gateshead. Our doctors provide general surgical treatment, and each doctor has special interests including cancer surgery, liver, pancreas, stomach, bowel, endocrine, and weight loss surgeries.
We are offering a great opportunity for a two part-time (three/four days each) or one full time and one part-time employee per week, medical receptionist to join our professional and friendly team.
The role will suit a person who is a team player and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Being customer focused with a friendly, empathetic work ethic, the ability to multi-task and prioritise, will see you succeed in this role.
This is a part-time or full-time contracted position.



A permanent position will be offered to the right candidate after the initial contract period. There is also potential to increase contracted hours to cover leave (for part-time employees).
Criteria
Previous medical administration experience highly regarded (but not essential)
Experience in Administration and Office Administration
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team & adaptability
Attention to detail and accuracy
Understanding of Confidentiality and Privacy Policies related to the health industry.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Availability to work Monday - Friday. No weekends
Flexible working arrangements are available.
Office hours are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
