The People & Culture Generalist is responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resources functions across Ip.Glass, ensuring alignment with business strategy, compliance with legislation, and the promotion of a high-performance, values-driven culture. This role will oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR policy governance. The People & Culture Generalist will also play a strategic role in workforce planning, culture development, and organisational capability to support the growth of a secure, high-performing managed services business.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overall business objectives and support organisational growth.
Support the Executive Team in driving workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development initiatives.
Provide advice and guidance to management on HR best practices, employment law, and compliance matters.
Recruitment and Onboarding: End-to-end recruitment of both Technical and Operational Employees. A strong aptitude for Technical Recruitment is a must.
Manage onboarding and induction programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees into the Ip.Glass culture and operational environment.
Support workforce clearance and compliance requirements (e.g., NV1/NV2, security checks, and client-specific standards).
Execute the Learning and Development action plan.
Develop new Learning and Development strategies based on business need and employee data.
Maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures consistent with employment law, Fair Work regulations, and internal governance.
Ensure accurate HR record-keeping, data privacy, and reporting practices.
Support WHS (Work Health and Safety) initiatives and compliance programs.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
HR certification (e.g., AHRI membership, CIPD) is highly regarded.
Experience: 5+ years of People & Culture experience, ideally within IT, professional services, or technology sectors.
Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement.
Strong understanding of Australian employment law, Fair Work Act, and HR compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
Desirable: Experience with Employment Hero (But not a deal breaker)
