Lesaffre Australia Pacific is now seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator. The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the QA Manager in manufacturing Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programs and their execution, providing daily support to the Operations team for measurement & management of product quality, ensuring quality across the product portfolio manufactured at the plant and third-party manufacturing partners.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Support the QA Manager in maintaining external certifications (FSSC, HACCP, GMP) and conducting compliance audits
Manage raw material quality control and laboratory testing to ensure finished goods meet legal requirements
Coordinate site monitoring programs including audits, sampling and testing to verify compliance with regulations and GFSI standards
Conduct quality inspections and reviews (hygiene, GMP, Glass & Brittle Plastic)
Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances; prepare reports and implement corrective/preventative actions




Manage the corrective action program from initiation through close-out and verification
Analyse quality data and recommend process improvements to drive continuous improvement
Oversee document control systems and develop/update SOPs from a quality perspective
Ensure equipment and machinery comply with food safety requirements
Champion food safety and safety-first culture across the organization
Provide troubleshooting support to Manufacturing and Operations teams
Cover QA Manager responsibilities during their absence
Qualifications & Competencies
Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related discipline
2+ years' experience in food manufacturing QA, regulatory quality, or food safety
Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSSC, and GMP certification systems
Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis (RCA) skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Self-motivated, results-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Advantageous:
HACCP principles training or Internal Auditor certification
Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience
