Finance Business Partner –
Medical Division
, where you'll play a critical role in supporting the financial sustainability, compliance and performance of our medical services division.
Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer, operational leaders and the Finance Team, you'll deliver expert financial analysis, reporting and business partnering support that enables informed decision-making and helps ensure high-quality, sustainable healthcare outcomes for our patients, medical specialists and broader community
What You'll Be Doing
Financial Management & Sustainability
Manage budgets, analyse financial performance and provide recommendations that support the long-term sustainability of the Medical Division.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
Support budgeting processes, forecasting activities and financial planning initiatives that strengthen service delivery and financial performance.
Contract Financial Management & Oversight
Provide financial oversight of VMO, specialist and other key medical service contracts to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and budget parameters.
Business Partnering
Work closely with executive and operational leaders, providing trusted financial advice and insights that improve service performance and outcomes.
Strategic Analysis & Business Cases
Develop business cases and evaluate financial opportunities, risks and investment decisions that support organisational objectives and long-term service viability.
Workforce & Resource Optimisation
Provide financial oversight and analysis of medical workforce arrangements, including specialist and locum coverage, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability while maintaining quality patient care.
Continuous Improvement & Governance
Support audits, compliance requirements and process improvement initiatives that strengthen financial performance and governance across medical services.
Funding, Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
Ensure compliance with funding requirements, grant acquittals and aged care financial reporting obligations.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience in a finance role within a regulated environment
Minimum two years accounting experience
Strong budgeting, forecasting and management accounting capability
Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills
High-level Excel and financial systems experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights
Experience working with government-funded, healthcare or regulated service environments will be highly regarded
Commitment to continuous improvement, accountability and collaboration
