Job Description
MJK Auto Services Pty Ltd, trading as A'n'E Automotive Hallam, operates an automotive servicing and repair workshop in Hallam, Victoria. The business provides vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, logbook servicing, diagnostic testing, diesel vehicle servicing, automotive air conditioning repairs and roadworthy inspections for passenger and light commercial vehicles. The workshop uses modern diagnostic technology and focuses on reliable workmanship, vehicle safety and efficient customer service.
About the Role A'n'E Automotive Hallam is seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic to undertake vehicle inspections, servicing, fault diagnosis, mechanical repairs and automotive air conditioning repair work as part of its daily workshop operations. The successful candidate will work on a range of petrol and diesel vehicles and ensure all servicing and repair work is completed accurately, safely and in accordance with manufacturer requirements.

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 + superannuation
Key Responsibilities
Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment
Carry out scheduled, logbook and general vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications
Repair and replace faulty engine, transmission, braking, steering, suspension and cooling system components
Diagnose, service and repair automotive air conditioning systems, including compressors, condensers, hoses and associated components
Perform engine tuning,



fluid changes, filter replacements and other routine maintenance work
Inspect vehicle systems and components to identify wear, damage and safety-related defects
Test and adjust repaired mechanical and air conditioning systems to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently
Conduct road tests and final quality checks following servicing and repair work
Identify repairs required for vehicles undergoing roadworthy inspections
Record servicing, diagnostic findings, repairs completed and replacement parts used
Maintain workshop tools, equipment and work areas in a secure, clean and serviceable condition
Follow workplace health and safety, environmental and workshop procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent relevant qualification
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic
Experience servicing and repairing petrol and diesel passenger or light commercial vehicles
Experience diagnosing and repairing automotive air conditioning systems will be highly regarded
Strong understanding of vehicle mechanical systems, fault diagnosis and maintenance procedures
Ability to interpret diagnostic results and manufacturer servicing information
Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and effectively within a workshop team
Current Australian driver licence is preferred
