About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Psychologist (P3) to join theAllied Health team within Adult Inpatient Mental Health Services (AIMHS). Thisrole provides psychological services across the Acacia and Banksia Units, aswell as other inpatient teams within the service.
Working under the limited direction of the Allied Health Manager andAllied Health Clinical Lead, you will exercise independent skilled judgementto provide assessment and evidence-based interventions for people experiencingcomplex and serious mental health conditions. The role involves conductingcomprehensive clinical assessments and delivering both individual andgroup-based therapeutic interventions within a recovery-focused framework.
As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute tocollaborative care planning, support consumers to achieve their recovery goals,participate in clinical supervision and professional development, andcontribute to quality improvement initiatives across the service.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled psychologist withexperience working with people experiencing complex mental health conditions.You will demonstrate strong assessment and intervention skills, sound clinicaljudgement, and a commitment to recovery-oriented practice. Your ability to workboth independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team,
alongwith excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will enable you to buildeffective therapeutic relationships and contribute positively to consumeroutcomes. A commitment to ongoing professional development, clinicalsupervision, and continuous improvement will also be highly regarded.

A merit poolmay be established from this recruitment process and will remain valid for 12months. This pool may be used to fill similar roles/ future vacant positions atthe same level across CHS.
Please note prior to commencement successfulcandidates will be required to:
· Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
· Comply with Canberra Health Services OccupationalAssessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
· Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinicalpractice requirements for allied health professionals.
Note:
This is a part-time (29.4 hours per week) temporaryposition available for a period of six months with the possibility ofextension. Thefull-time salary noted above will be paid pro rata for part-time hours.
