The Workshop Technician is a critical, hands-on role at the heart of what Lithium Essentials does. The purpose of this role is to deliver world-class electrical installation and upgrade work on customer caravans and recreational vehicles - with excellence, care and precision on every single job.

Responsibilities
The Workshop Technician is responsible for delivering the full range of electrical installation and upgrade services offered by Lithium Essentials. Core responsibilities include:
Technical Installation & Workmanship
Installation and commissioning of lithium battery systems, solar panels, inverters, DC-DC chargers, MPPT solar charge controllers and associated components in customer caravans and RVs
Wiring, cabling, fusing and electrical distribution - completed to a first-class standard and fully compliant with AS*********** (Australian Standard for Recreational Vehicles)
Installation of monitoring systems, switch panels (including Switch-Pro SP****), battery monitors and Victron Energy products including Cerbo GX and associated accessories
Fabrication and fitting of custom mounts, brackets and ancillary components as required
Fault diagnosis and rectification on existing electrical systems
Ensuring every job leaves the workshop in a condition the business is proud of - clean, tidy, well-presented and fully tested
Customer Service & Communication
Engaging with customers in a professional, warm and knowledgeable manner - at drop-off, during the job and at handover
Clearly explaining work completed and walking customers through their new system with confidence and patience
Anticipating customer needs and always asking: what else can we do to add value here?

Workshop Operations & Standards
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop workplace at all times
Managing parts, tools and consumables efficiently to minimise downtime between jobs
Contributing to continuous improvement - if you spot a better way to do something, say so
Supporting the broader team with product knowledge, technical insight and a collaborative attitude

Productivity & Throughput
Jobs are completed within agreed timeframes without compromising quality. The technician manages their time and workflow effectively, minimising idle time and keeping the workshop moving.
Zero Defects at Handover
Vehicles leave the workshop with all work completed correctly the first time. No call-backs, no returns, no issues discovered post-handover that should have been caught in the workshop.
Compliance at All Times
All work is carried out in strict accordance with AS*********** and relevant safety standards. There are no compliance failures, no shortcuts and no exceptions.
