Sydney Grammar School is an independent non-denominational day School for boys. The secondary School (7-12) is located on College Street in the city of Sydney, and the two preparatory Schools are located at Edgecliff (K-Year 6) and St Ives (Preschool-Year 6).
About the Role
Sydney Grammar School is seeking to employ a highly motivated and qualified Teacher Librarian within the School's academic team. This is a temporary part-time position (2 days per weekas a job-share) onan initial12-month contract.
Please be advised that, on one of these days,you may be required to work from 8:00am-6:00pm, subject to operational needs.
The Teacher Librarian will work closely with Subject Masters and other colleagues to support staff to access resources for teaching the curriculum and engaging in their own continuing education. The Teacher Librarian will also support the School's pupils in their learning and their development as life-long readers, writers, and thinkers.

Qualifications
Teacher librarianship, i.e., relevant teaching and librarianship qualifications as approved by ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association).
NESA accredited teacher with teaching experience.
The ability to classify and catalogue book and non-book materials.
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff to develop policy and processes relating to the management of library resources.
Highly developed research skills, including the ability to prepare online guides for both pupils and teachers.
