Charlie's Fine Food Co. is a growing food manufacturing business based in East Bentleigh, known for producing high-quality baked goods and sweet treats for a range of customers.
We are looking for a hands‐on
Team Leader
to join our packing team. This is a great prospect for someone who wants to step into a leadership role while still being actively involved in day‐to‐day production.
About the role
As Team Leader, you will support the smooth running of the production floor by coordinating team members, monitoring output, maintaining quality standards and helping ensure daily production requirements are met.
You will work closely with the Production Manager and broader team to keep things moving, solve issues as they arise and create a positive, productive and safe working environment.
Key responsibilities
Lead and support a small production team during daily operations.
Coordinate workflow to ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met.
Assist with hands‐on production, packing or finishing products as required.
Monitor product quality, consistency and presentation standards.
Ensure food safety, hygiene, allergen and workplace safety procedures are followed.
Train,



coach and support team members to perform their roles effectively.
Communicate issues, delays, equipment concerns or quality risks to management.
Help maintain a positive team culture aligned with Charlie's values.
About you
You will bring:
Experience in packing operations or similar.
Previous team leader, supervisor or leading hand experience, or readiness to step into leadership.
Solid attention to detail and pride in producing quality products.
Good communication skills and the ability to give clear direction.
A calm, practical and hands‐on approach to problem solving.
Understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
Reliability, initiative and a positive team-first attitude.
