We're partnering with well-established FMCG manufacturers in Laverton North that are investing in their maintenance teams and are looking for fitters who enjoy solving problems, improving equipment reliability, and working in fast-paced production environments.

The role:
You'll play a key role in maintaining production equipment to maximise uptime and ensure safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
Equipment installation, upgrades and continuous improvement projects
Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
Maintaining accurate maintenance records
Following GMP standards and site safety procedures at all times
About you:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter/Fitter & Turner or equivalent
Previous experience in FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical or other high-volume manufacturing environments
Strong understanding and practical experience working within GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environments
Experience maintaining conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, packaging equipment and automated production lines
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
A proactive attitude with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
