Role Description
The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ringwood, VIC. This role manages day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and maintenance of accurate financial records. The Accountant prepares monthly and annual financial reports, supports budgeting and forecasting, and monitors cash flow to assist leadership in decision-making. The role also includes end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements, and liaising with external auditors and advisors as needed. The Accountant works closely with operations and sales teams to reconcile inventory and equipment purchases, improve financial processes, and provide transparent financial insights to management.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands‐on,



detail‐oriented finance professional who can work independently and keep our financial operations running smoothly. You will manage the full transactional cycle for the business, run payroll end‐to‐end, and deliver clear, accurate reports that support decision‐making.
This role suits someone who takes ownership, meets deadlines without oversight, and is comfortable being the primary point of contact for all finance matters.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and issue customer quotes and sales invoices, ensuring accurate pricing and GST treatment
Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments
Record daily transactions, process accounts payable, and perform bank reconciliations
Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial records are audit‐ready
Process end‐to‐end payroll, including wages, leave, superannuation, and STP reporting
Manage new starter, termination, and year‐end payroll requirements
Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis
About You
5+ years' bookkeeping/accounting experience, ideally within a small‐to‐medium business
Proven end‐to‐end payroll experience, including STP and superannuation
Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting; BAS Agent registration highly regarded
Proficient in Xero with strong Excel skills
Highly organised, accurate, and able to work autonomously
Clear communicator, comfortable handling confidential information
