Maintenance Technician – Food Manufacturing
Location: Rowville | Day and Night Shift Available | Full-Time Permanent | $50–$70 per hour depending on experience (inclusive of shift loading) + Super + Overtime + Salary Review
A leading food manufacturing company based in Rowville is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team on a full-time permanent night or day shift.

The Role
This is a hands‐on maintenance position responsible for preventative and reactive (breakdown) maintenance across production equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, efficiency, and secure operation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults
Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveyors, pumps,



and valves
Carry out general mechanical maintenance and repairs
Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and OHS standards
Provide technical support to production teams to minimise downtime
About You
Previous experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing, food production, or FMCG
Cert III in Mechanical/Fitting & Turning highly regarded but not essential
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience with preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred
Reliable, hands‐on, and proactive with a strong safety focus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Welding, fabrication, or forklift licence experience highly regarded but not essential
