This is a hands-on senior role responsible for delivering timely, accurate and insightful reporting and analytics across multiple business areas. You will also provide technical mentorship, support quality assurance and help manage the delivery pipeline across the analytics team.
The opportunity
You will work closely with stakeholders across customer, asset, infrastructure, operations and people functions to understand business challenges and translate them into valuable analytics use cases.
Alongside developing advanced Power BI solutions, you will lead the generation of insights, support data literacy and help ensure analytical outputs are actively used to inform business decisions.
Key responsibilities
Engage with business stakeholders to identify challenges, opportunities and high-value analytics use cases.
Develop accurate and insightful analysis that communicates a clear business story.
Design, build, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports.
Consolidate data from multiple sources and support the creation of reusable data assets.
Perform data reconciliation, validation and quality assurance across reporting outputs.
Lead the generation of insights and ensure analysis is translated into practical decision-making.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior analysts.
Support the Team Leader with analytics pipeline management and delivery prioritisation.




Promote a strong quality‐assurance culture and take ownership of deliverable accuracy.
Lead stakeholder conversations relating to reporting and analytics development.
Deliver training and education to improve self‐service analytics and data literacy.
Support data governance, stewardship, innovation and continuous improvement.
Skills and experience
At least four years of experience in data analytics or a comparable analytical role.
Advanced Power BI, DAX and SQL capability.
Strong experience in dashboard design and data visualisation.
Deep understanding of dimensional data models, including star schemas and business metrics.
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into practical analytics solutions.
Solid structured problem‐solving and critical‐thinking capability.Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience mentoring analysts and contributing to quality assurance.
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
A bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM‐related discipline.
Experience within utilities or essential services, familiarity with Agile principles, and exposure to Databricks or cloud‐based data environments will be highly regarded.
