About the Role
As Assistant Sales Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the General Sales Manager with the day-to-day operation of the dealership while continuing to manage your own customer enquiries and vehicle sales. This is a hands‐on leadership position where you'll lead by example, mentoring the sales team while remaining actively involved on the showroom floor.
You'll help drive sales performance, maintain exceptional dealership presentation, support team development, and ensure every customer receives an outstanding buying experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the General Sales Manager with the day‐to‐day leadership and operation of the sales department.
Continuing to sell new vehicles while achieving your own individual sales targets.
Providing coaching and support to Sales Consultants to maximise performance and development.
Acting as Sales Manager when required, confidently overseeing dealership operations.
Ensuring the dealership yard is consistently immaculate, well organised, and visually appealing.
Maintaining demonstrator vehicles in showroom‐ready condition.
Ensuring all vehicles are displayed with the correct finance banners, promotional materials and L‐Forms.
Driving compliance with dealership processes, Dealer Studio,



iStore documentation and manufacturer standards.
Assisting with customer enquiries, negotiations and resolving customer concerns professionally.
Helping foster a positive, collaborative and high‐performing team culture.
What We're Looking For
Proven success in automotive sales with consistently strong sales performance.
Previous leadership or mentoring experience within a dealership environment is highly regarded.
A genuine passion for both selling vehicles and developing others.
Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship‐building skills.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
A proactive, solutions‐focused approach with the ability to perform in a fast‐paced environment.
Sound understanding of dealership compliance and sales processes.
Current driver's licence.
