We're currently
seeking a female only Service Support Worker Permanent Part Time
who is experienced, reliable and caring to support our participants needs. MUST have experience with higher behavioural needs, personal care (continence aids, showering, dysphagia). The role requires a calm, confident support worker with experience with high behavioural needs.

About the Role
As a Service Support Worker you will provide Supported Independent Living services that promote safety, independence, and emotional stability for a participant with complex behavioural needs. This includes personal care, meal preparation, and supporting the participant to build predictable routines, healthy habits, and meaningful daily structure. You will play a key role in implementing behaviour support strategies, maintaining a regulated home environment,
and ensuring the participant feels supported both at home and in the community.
This role requires support from workers who can safely manage physical tasks and high intensity behavioural presentations.
Key Accountabilities
Support with daily living tasks and personal care
Implement behaviour support strategies and uphold safety plans
Prepare nutritious meals and support healthy routines
Maintain structure, predictability, and emotional regulation
Encourage community participation where appropriate
Support the development of independent living skills
Maintain accurate documentation and incident reporting
Roster Details
Monday - Friday - 8.00am - 4.00pm
Required Certifications
NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
Working with Children Check
NDIS Orientation Module and Infection Prevention and Control
First Aid and CPR Certificate
Australian Driver's Licence

Essential Experience & Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in support work, mental health, behaviour support, disability, community services, or a related field.
Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours, including high intensity or escalated presentations
Confidence implementing behaviour support plans and de escalation strategies
Physical capability to safely support a tall, physically strong participant
Ability to remain calm, grounded, and solutions focused under pressure
Key Attributes
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to coordinate daily routines and household tasks effectively
Proactive and solutions focused, with the ability to anticipate needs (e.g., groceries, supplies)
Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Comfortable using technology and basic software applications
Empathetic, patient, and committed to participant wellbeing
