We seek reliable, team-oriented individuals with high integrity who will positively contribute to the company's success. We offer short‐term contracts with above-award pay rates fully guaranteed under current workplace regulations. Position available across our site and work locations in NSW, SA, WA and VIC.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret project plans, engineering drawings, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to determine and perform appropriate welding techniques for the task at hand
Set up equipment and weld parts, using appropriate pressure welding equipment and methods
Examine welds for width of bead, penetration and precision, and performs necessary repairs or reworks




Weld and repair pressure vessels and pipes to relevant high‐quality standards and ensure conformance with standard specifications
Fabricate metal components in accordance with supplied drawings and specifications
Conduct tests on welds to ensure there are no leaks in the pressurised systems
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets standard specifications
Apply post-weld treatments to relieve stress and enhance the strength of the welded joints on pressure‐containing equipment
Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance on machines and equipment in order to restore full functionality and safety performance, maintaining a condition that does not compromise safety
Maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard
Keep the workstation clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment
Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by flame cutting, heat cutting, gouging, bevelling, grinding or filing
Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot problems on a daily basis, in addition to fabrication duties
Requirements
Trade qualified
Minimum of three years of experience in this role or similar
Ability to work independently and in a team environment to complete large and complex projects
Critical thinking
Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work
Precision skills
Strong communication and reporting skills
Self‐motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
Safety focus
Must have great work ethics
