What you'll do
Lead and manage the entire product value stream for the Underground Hard Rock segment, ensuring that all activities align with the overarching goals of Caterpillar, Inc.
Work closely with various cross-functional teams to devise and execute strategies aimed at enhancing product performance and maximizing customer satisfaction.
Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform product development and improvement initiatives.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of product initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to communicate progress, gather insights, and adjust strategies as necessary.
Drive the implementation of best practices in product management and engineering to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and qualified growth.




Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure effective product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
Engage with external partners and suppliers to enhance product offerings and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes that may impact product strategy and compliance.

Requirements
At least 10 years of relevant experience in engineering or product management, particularly within the mining or heavy machinery industries.
A bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrated success in managing product life cycles and implementing operational enhancements.
Strong leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to motivate and direct teams toward achieving strategic goals.
Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all organizational levels.




Solid understanding of the mining sector and the specific challenges and opportunities it presents.
Nice to have
An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant area.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience applying these methodologies in a practical setting.
Previous experience working in international markets, especially within the Asia-Pacific region, is advantageous.
Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives in product management.
Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and tools.
Skills & tools
Proficient in project management software and methodologies, ensuring effective planning and execution of projects.
Strong analytical abilities, capable of interpreting complex data to inform strategic decisions.
Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering design principles.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulatory standards and compliance requirements, particularly in the mining sector.
