Onelec Data & Electrical is looking for an experienced Civil Operator to join our growing team working across civil and electrical infrastructure projects on the Victorian road network.
We are based in Bayswater, with employees starting and finishing each workday from our factory before travelling to project sites.
We are a VicRoads prequalified contractor delivering Vic Roads (DTP) Electrical and Civil infrastructure projects including pit and pipe installation, concrete reinstatement, foundation works, asphalt remediation, directional drilling and non-destructive digging (NDD). This is a hands‐on role for a reliable operator who takes pride in safe, high‐quality work and enjoys being part of a practical, hard‐working crew.
Bayswater based role - start and finish each day from our factory
36-hour week with RDO calendar
Opportunity for overtime, including night shift work paid at penalty rates
Work on civil and electrical infrastructure projects across the Victorian road network

Hands‐on role covering pit and pipe, concrete, asphalt, foundations and NDD works
About the role
Complete pit and pipe installation for civil and electrical infrastructure works
Carry out concrete footpath patching, concrete reinstatement and minor civil works
Assist with foundation preparation, installation and remediation works
Complete asphalt remediation and reinstatement works to required standards
Support and assist with non‐destructive digging (NDD) around existing services
Operate plant, tools and equipment safely and effectively
Work safely around live traffic, underground services and other site hazards
Follow project drawings, permits,



site instructions and safe work method statements
Maintain a clean, organised and protected worksite
What we're looking for
Experience as a civil operator, civil labourer or similar role in civil construction, utilities, road works or electrical infrastructure
Experience with pit and pipe installation, trenching, reinstatement and service‐related excavation works
Experience with set out and installation of concrete kerb and channel
Confidence working on or near road networks and live traffic environments
Understanding of workplace health and safety, SWMS and site procedures
Ability to perform hands‐on labour as required
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
Construction Induction Card, also known as a White Card
Highly regarded
Excavator, skid steer, traffic control, spotter, confined space or first aid tickets
Experience with concrete footpath patching, foundations and asphalt remediation
Experience assisting with NDD works and working around underground services
