About the role
Shieldai is seeking a technical expert to build real-time perception systems for autonomous platforms. You will develop custom algorithms and integrate them into high-performance C++ pipelines to support our defense-focused mission.

What you'll do
Architect and implement custom computer vision algorithms for edge computing environments.
Integrate perception capabilities into high-performance C++ software pipelines.
Manage the full lifecycle of technical projects from initial design through to deployment.
Work alongside robotics, AI, and optical engineering teams to deliver reliable spatial awareness solutions.
Develop geometry-based pipelines for tasks including camera modeling, image-to-world projection, and multi-sensor alignment.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Expert-level C++ proficiency with a history of building high-performance, real-time systems.
Proven ability to write custom vision algorithms from the ground up without relying solely on third-party libraries.
Strong grasp of computer vision, image processing, and machine learning fundamentals.




Mastery of software engineering basics including data structures, algorithm optimization, and version control.
Experience owning technical projects from ambiguous requirements to final delivery.
Nice to have
Master or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Geomatics, or Photogrammetry.
Experience with camera calibration, multi-view geometry, 3D reconstruction, SLAM, or target localization.
Background in photogrammetry, epipolar geometry, bundle adjustment, or map-based registration.
Familiarity with OpenCV or deep learning frameworks for classification and sequence modeling.
Previous work in the defense industry, autonomous unmanned systems, or automated video surveillance.
