Global Skills has recently been awarded contracts to deliver the Australian Government's Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program in Central Western Sydney, Fairfield, Macarthur, Northern Sydney and Outer Western Sydney regions. The contracts were awarded following a tender carried out by the Department of Social Services and delivery of the program commenced on 1 November ****.
IEA replaced Disability Employment Services; a program Global Skills has been delivering since ****. Designed to create a more inclusive future for people with a disability, injury and/or a health condition, IEA places each person's unique goals and needs at the heart of the program. Participants will receive personalised support to prepare for, secure and maintain meaningful employment.
We are looking for an Employment Consultant to join our Wetherill Park site.
About the job
Provide and arrange customised, person-centred support to a diverse caseload of participants, including the development and implementation of personalised job plans, resume and career guidance, interview preparation and workshops, referral to training and complimentary services to support work preparation and job placement.
Build positive relationships with employers for brokering or sustaining employment
Ensuring performance benchmarks are achieved
Ensure compliance with National Standards for Disability Services, ISO *****:****/RFFR accreditation and other quality initiatives and compliance requirements




Adhere to WHS policies, all Information Security and Privacy requirements, understand, and apply Deed and guideline requirements
Selection Criteria
Experience in disability or employment services and/or an ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds specifically persons with a disability, injury or illness
Preferably hold qualifications in Employment, Community or Disability services or a related/higher level qualification
Possess exceptional communication skills and a passion for helping others and making a difference
Bi-lingual applicants who can speak Vietnamese will be highly regarded.
Share our commitment to providing the highest standard of customer service and collaboration with key stakeholders
Have an understanding of the local labour market, career and training opportunities
Have experience working to deadlines and/or KPIs
Possess strong administration skills and IT literacy
Be willing to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check and other checks as deemed necessary
Be eligible to work in Australia
Have a full driver's licence, valuable driving record and be willing to travel as required
