The Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Laboratory Supervisor with NATA accreditation and signatory authority to join our Asphalt Plant team based at Kembla Grange. This senior technical position is responsible for managing daily laboratory operations, maintaining compliance with NATA and ISO/IEC ***** requirements, and authorising the release of NATA-endorsed test results.
Key Responsibilities
Act as an authorised NATA signatory and approve NATA-endorsed laboratory reports.
Maintain compliance with ISO/IEC ***** and NATA accreditation requirements.
Supervise, mentor, and train laboratory staff in asphalt testing and sampling.
Perform and oversee asphalt testing,
including mix design verification, compaction, and density testing.
Manage laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and records.
Requirements
Proven experience in an asphalt or construction materials testing laboratory.
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and state road authority specifications.
Current NATA signatory authority or ability to obtain signatory status.
Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction (Laboratory Techniques) or equivalent experience.
High attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and commitment to quality assurance.
Commitment to safety, environmental management, and OH&S; compliance
Reliable, high-integrity work ethic.
Motivated, proactive and able to work in an independent manner.
