About The Role
We're currently looking for a Trade qualified Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter at Huhtamaki in Preston, Victoria with experience working in fast paced manufacturing environment. At times there will be a requirement for coverage of after-hour shifts so reasonable driving distance from the workplace is desirable.
Tasks Include (but not limited to)
Preventive maintenance and checks as per the work orders
Overhauls of various site equipment like pumps, agitators, conveyors, mechanical filters, printers and label applicators




Breakdown maintenance – identify issues and repair as necessary.
Assist with machine setup, adjustments and changeover.
Preparation work in workshop for the next PM, overhaul and changeover.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Successfully completed Mechanical trade certificate III – Fitter and Turner/Machinist.
Strong troubleshooting and repairing skills.
Experience maintaining production line and processing equipment like pumps, conveyors, etc.
To be comfortable working in fast paced workplace
Basic TIG/MIG welding and machining experience required.
Be reliable, hands-on and team oriented.
