Job Description
Full-time (4 days available)positionuntil31 March ****
Based in Ipswich, on the lands of the Yuggera, Jagera & Ugarapul Peoples + hybrid options available
No billable hours
Through the Early Childhood Approach (ECA) program, we support families by helping them understand their children's development and unique needs, find the right support services, and build the skills they need to support their child's growth. We also connect families with local community resources to ensure they have access to the broader support network available in their area.
Your role, your impact
Looking for a rewarding career in early childhood intervention? Each needs an experienced Early Years Specialist to join our diverse team of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists. In this role, you'll:
Deliver evidence‐informed supports in partnership with families
to help them achieve their goals.
Use assessments, observations, and child development knowledge
to tailor support options that fit each child and family.
Empower families, caregivers, and professionals
to build skills and confidence to support children in their everyday lives, using your coaching skills.




Connect children and families with their community
to promote inclusion and participation in settings and activities of their choice.
Maintain thorough and accurate records in the NDIA business system
, including conversations, developmental progress, and goals.
Guide families through NDIS processes
, including application, implementation, and funding.
Who we're looking for
Hold a degree qualification in Occupational Therapy
.
Demonstrate expert knowledge of child development and early intervention
, with the ability to identify developmental issues.
Have a proven track record in building relationships and supporting children and families
experiencing developmental delays or disability, including implementing effective strategies for use at home and in other settings.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best‐practice principles
, with a strong understanding of the
National Disability Insurance Scheme
.
