Zip is an AI platform for enterprise procurement, designed to help teams orchestrate procurement across tools and suppliers with the help of AI agents.
Our solution enables organizations to secure the resources they need to innovate faster and more efficiently.
Your Role
As a Solutions Architect, you will build the technical foundation that powers Zip's ERP and integration ecosystem, focusing on internal technical enablement, navigating complex customer environments, and partnering closely with Product to drive best‐in‐class standards across all integration workflows—especially within the SAP ecosystem.
You Will
Architect and standardize SAP integrations: design, maintain, and iterate on Zip's core SAP (ECC and S/4HANA) and Ariba integration templates to deliver scalable, repeatable, and robust customer implementations.
Bridge product and the field: collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) to ensure integration templates stay aligned with core product architecture, field insights, and evolving customer needs.
Turn nuance into scale: analyze complex customer implementations to identify reusable data‐mapping patterns and system nuances, converting bespoke solutions into standardized internal assets.
Support pre‐sales engineering: partner with account teams during pre‐sales to design and vet integration architectures, ensuring prospective customers are set up for smooth, best‐practice deployments.
Drive technical implementation excellence: define, document, and champion technical solution‐consulting best practices, raising the technical bar and driving consistency across all implementations.
Become a Multi‐ERP expert: leverage your existing SAP, P2P, and MM/FI expertise to build fluency across additional ERP ecosystems, becoming the subject‐matter expert on integration architecture, data models, and Zip's App Studio.
Build for permanent scale: approach technical challenges with an engineering mindset—designing and executing a solution thoroughly once so that future implementations happen effortlessly.
Qualifications
6+ years of hands‐on experience delivering integrations with SAP ERP environments (ECC, S/4HANA) or procurement platforms (Ariba).
Strong foundational knowledge of core SAP business processes and data models within Materials Management (MM) and Financials (FI).
Familiarity with standard SAP integration methods such as IDocs, BAPI/RFC, OData APIs, or SAP BTP/CPI.
Experience with iPaaS tools is preferred, but we welcome candidates who can learn new platform tools quickly.
Experience working with XML/REST endpoints and standard authentication protocols.
Past ERP implementation, integration, configuration, or administration experience is required.
Ability to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
Comfortable working with API documentation and troubleshooting integration errors.
Ability to understand customer requirements and document that information quickly, with little oversight.
A continual learner, open to learning new technologies that Zip may integrate with in the future.

Extreme attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
