Salary Range:Base Salary $48,561 - $66,020 per annum + super, based on schooling level completion, years out of school and age upon commencement.

Apprentice Auto Electrician - Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology

Townsville City Council is currently seeking applications for the **** Apprenticeship intake!
Power up your career with a hands-on apprenticeship in Automotive Electrical Technology, working across Council's diverse and essential vehicle fleet, plant and equipment.
Under the guidance of experienced tradespersons, you will build specialist skills through a competency-based apprenticeship that combines formal study with practical, on-the-job learning.
In this role, you will gain valuable experience servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles and plant, from heavy and light commercial vehicles to light plant, heavy plant and passenger vehicles.
You will work on everything from rubbish trucks, tippers, vacuum trucks and street sweepers to an extensive variety of plant and equipment, developing the automotive electrical expertise that keeps critical services running reliably every day.
This apprenticeship includes completing a 4-year Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology through TAFE North Queensland, equipping you with a nationally recognised qualification and the skills needed for a long-term, future-focused career in auto electrical technology.

This position will commence in February ****.
Qualifications And Experience
Willingness to be part of, and promote, a positive safety culture whilst adhering to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Minimum completed of Year 10 with passes in English and Mathematics.
Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers' licence (or ability to obtain).
Sound written and verbal communication skills.
Sound computer skills.
Ability to work effectively and be positively involved within a team environment.
Complete all training and assessment requirements of a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology as per the provided training plan.
This includes attending and participating in structured formal learning at the nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO) as well as keeping an accurate and up-to-date training record book.
