The Position
We're partnering with a reputable construction business to recruit an experienced Accounts Officer to join a close-knit finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the day-to-day fundamentals of accounting, takes pride in accuracy, and values working within a collaborative, down-to-earth environment.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be trusted to manage both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities, while supporting month-end processes and contributing to the smooth running of the finance function.
Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:
End-to-end Accounts Payable processing, including invoice management, payment runs and supplier reconciliations
Accounts Receivable processing, client invoicing, collections and debtor management
Maintaining customer and supplier master data
Bank and general ledger reconciliations
Journal preparation and month-end support
Assisting with financial reporting and compliance activities
Responding to internal and external finance enquiries
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes
About You
You'll bring:
Demonstrated experience across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines
Confident communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Experience using Jobpac, Xero or construction industry ERP systems will be highly regarded, although not essential
What's on Offer
Salary of $85,000 - $95,000 + superannuation, depending on experience
