Job Description
Goodwood Dental As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting dentists to deliver high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the dental clinic. You will assist with clinical procedures, maintain infection control standards, prepare treatment rooms and equipment, and provide exceptional service to patients throughout their visit.

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials and equipment for routine and sterile surgical procedures. Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a wide range of procedures, including surgical extractions and implant placements.
Casting of impressions and production of items including bleaching trays, splints, etc. using lab equipment and materials Operate suction equipment and anticipate the dentist's clinical requirements to ensure productive treatment. Clean, sterilise and maintain instruments and dental equipment in accordance with infection prevention and infection control standards. . Monitor,



audit and maintain infection control procedures to ensure compliance with practice policies and relevant regulations.
Manage the ordering, stock control and storage of dental supplies and consumables while maintaining cost-effective inventory levels. Coordinate equipment maintenance, servicing and cleaning schedules to ensure all clinical equipment remains operational. Process dental radiographs and maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
Provide patients with oral hygiene education and post-operative care instructions. Assist with appointment scheduling, reception duties, billing and other administrative tasks as required. Induct, train and support junior staff, ensuring adherence to practice policies, procedures and quality standards.
Qualification & experience At least a relevant AQF Certificate III or higher qualification At least 1 year of demonstated work experience Strong communication and teamwork skills
