We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator
Room Assistant to join the team!
In this role, you will be an active team member which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children. This is a full-time role working 38 hours per week based in Chermside West, Brisbane QLD. Main tasks:
Contribute to delivery of a program which is relevant to individual children's current knowledge and provide scaffolding for learning.
Assist children in the use of learning materials and equipment.
Form positive, comforting and nurturing relationships with children.
Develop children's capabilities within a variety of social situations.
Develop sound knowledge of differing methods for behavioral management and adjust to each individual children's needs.
Prepare and deliver opportunities that facilitate physical activity learning experiences through play.
Assist with the implementation of play in learning environments which are responsive to children's interest, strengths and abilities.
Ensure that children are safe and adequately supervised at all times.
Support and guide an environment of co-learning.
Provide physical care, assisting children in toileting, dressing and meal times; and ensure all of these opportunities are viewed as teachable moments.
Assist in maintaining up to date records of the children within the group.
Work with other team members in the inclusion, support and care for a group of children to ensure continuity of care across the setting.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
Diploma in Children Services or equivalent; plus, minimum 1 year' relevant work experience.

Current
First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training
Clear
Working with Children Check
Able to develop strong relationships with children at the service
Able to Develop strong relationships that support and partner with families
Implement and always uphold the policies and associated procedures and practices of the organisation
Able to work with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the service's operations
