Australian Disability Care Services – Wetherill Park NSW
Australian Disability Care Services (ADCS) is a NDIS registered Service Provider of disability support services, dedicated to empowering individuals and promoting their independence. With a focus on person-centred care, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of the residents we support. We are Seeking an Experienced, Reliable and Passionate Manager to join our team based out of the Wetherill Park, NSW office.
Role Overview
As a SIL Accommodation Manager at Australian Disability Care Services (ADCS), you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing multiple SIL accommodations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, person-centred care to the residents. You will lead, mentor, and support a team of Disability Support Workers working closely with families, healthcare providers, and NDIS planners to achieve optimal client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Oversee the day-to-day operations of SIL accommodations, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care and seamless service delivery.
Manage rosters and budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and appropriate staffing levels.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of Active Support Workers, providing regular feedback, supervision, and professional development.
Collaborate with HR/recruitment to address staffing needs, participate in interviews, and ensure effective onboarding of current team members.
Person-Centred Care
Champion client choice, independence, and inclusion, ensuring all services align with NDIS requirements and uphold client rights.
Develop and review individual care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and allied health professionals.
Compliance and Quality
Ensure compliance with NDS standards, legislation, and internal policies.
Maintain accurate client records, incident reports, progress notes, and support plans.
Track service quality and client outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a key point of contact for families, support coordinators, healthcare providers, and NDIS planners.
Address incidents and complaints in line with safeguarding protocols.
About You
Proven experience in managing SIL services or disability care teams.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A commitment to person-centred principles and promoting independence.
Ability to manage complex care situations and guide teams in delivering quality services.
Sound understanding of the NDIS framework, Practice Standards, and Code of Conduct.
Experience with positive behaviour support principles (desirable).
Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and the evolving NDIS setting.
Cert III in Disability, related study or at least 1 year experience in a similar role.
Led teams before and have an excellent grasp of how to lead and motivate others.
Be able to work with challenging behaviours in a supportive model of care, and are available for on-call shifts on a rotating roster.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (with at least 3 months until expiry)
Valid and unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
Unrestricted right to work in Australia.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
