We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal and Compliance Officer to join our team on the Gold Coast.
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a recent law graduate or someone beginning their career in legal and compliance. You will gain valuable, hands-on experience within the finance industry while working across a broad range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters.
You will support our group of companies in meeting its regulatory, funder and internal compliance obligations. The role will involve assisting with compliance plans and training, reviewing policies and procedures, maintaining compliance registers, supporting regulatory and funder declarations, and completing credit and loan file audits.
You will also assist with monthly compliance reporting, monitor changes to legislation and regulatory requirements, and help ensure the business's systems, policies, procedures and supporting documentation remain accurate and up to date.
This position will work closely with senior management and key teams across the business, as well as our external legal firms, providing an excellent opportunity to develop a practical understanding of compliance within the Australian lending and financial services industry.
About You
Has completed, or is nearing completion of,



a degree in Law
Has a genuine interest in financial services, lending, legal and compliance
Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
Has strong written and verbal communication skills
Is organised and confident managing multiple tasks and deadlines
Can research, interpret and clearly communicate complex information
Is proactive, professional and eager to learn
Demonstrates integrity, sound judgement and confidentiality
Can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Previous experience in financial services, mortgage lending, legal practice or compliance would be beneficial but is not essential. Training, guidance and ongoing support will be provided.
