About the role
The Chief Operations Office delivers major building, infrastructure, park and streetscape projects across the city. With a works program valued at up to $200 million, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Specialist Project Manager to join the team.
In this exciting role you will be responsible for:
developing and delivering a range of projects by using your knowledge of the Building and Construction Industry
coordinating design, tendering for and managing contractors
providing technical direction and ensuring projects are delivered within pre-determined limits of time, cost and quality
collaborating and managing client and project needs using effective interpersonal and communication skills
We're looking for someone with:
experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, including roads, cycleways, public domain, and parks or open space projects within a built environment
proven project management experience, with the ability to deliver capital works projects on time, within budget and to a high standard




solid stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working collaboratively with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams
experience managing project risks, budgets, procurement and contract administration
relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Civil, structural or Services Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
While this role requires a strong civil infrastructure background, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle and must be capable of overseeing projects that also include building, engineering and landscape components.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
