Ventia was awarded the contract to deliver preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance, along with electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation services across the Seqwater network of 35 water treatment plants, 95 pump stations, and 26 referable dams.
Fully mobilised in February ****, our 125 strong team continue to deliver service excellence across the entire Seqwater network. The network expands as far as Gympie in the north, to the NSW border in the south, and from North Stradbroke Island in the east, to the base of the Toowoomba Ranges in the west.

About the Role
This permanent, full time position plays a key role in delivering Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) outcomes.
With sites in various areas in South-East QLD, this role requires 2–3 days of travel per week, alongside office attendance in Richlands, QLD.
You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety and excellence.



A key aspect of this role will be building trust through a consultative approach, successfully engaging stakeholders with differing priorities and expectations.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Partner with frontline teams to understand how work is actually done and where risks emerge in real conditions.
Support the application of Ventia's Critical Risk Protocols in a way that is practical, usable, and meaningful to operations.
Lead and facilitate incident investigations for incidents utilising ICAM and other investigation methodologies.
Manage incident reporting and corrective actions, ensuring timely entry, tracking, and closure.
Support leaders and teams to make informed decisions about risk, reasonable practicability, and operational priorities
Conduct assurance activities (audits, inspections) as opportunities for engagement, insight, and improvement
Work collaboratively with subcontractors to align expectations and strengthen safe work practices.
Support environmental and quality outcomes by integrating them into operational decision-making
Assist our Injury Management Team with injury management processes, supporting recovery and return to meaningful work
About You




Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
2+ years of experience as a SHEQ Advisor (on maintenance contracts or similar will be highly regarded)
Strong capability in building, managing, and maintaining stakeholder relationships
Demonstrates resilience and professionalism when managing competing stakeholder expectations
Construction white card
Current C Class Driver Licence
Desirable tickets, but not essential
ICAM training investigations certificate (essential)
Lead Auditor Training or internal equivalent
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - HLTAID001
Provide First Aid - HLTAID003
