OSW Group operates fast-scaling businesses across renewable energy, technology and e-commerce, with leading positions in solar and storage, SaaS-enabled energy solutions, digital commerce platforms and embedded finance. The distribution business is supported by a network of 19,000 installers, engineering capacity is based in China, and the group has a multi-continental presence spanning Australia, Europe, the UK, the US and Mexico, with further markets planned.
OSW Group is scaling at pace across multiple continents, and the People agenda now carries direct commercial consequence: market entry speed, retention in established markets, and the cost of capability across both. The function today operates market by market, built for local delivery rather than group-wide leverage. We are appointing a Chief People Officer to bring it under unified global leadership and to give People a decisive voice in how and where the group grows, what capability it requires, and how it organises to deliver.
The Chief People Officer is accountable for the group People agenda and sits as a strategic partner to the Group CEO and the leadership of every OSW business. The mandate is to build a People function with genuine group leverage: one architecture for how the group levels, pays, assesses and develops its people, applied consistently across every market while respecting what each business needs to operate.
The role leads a global team of approximately 9 and owns the judgement calls that determine whether the group can grow at the pace it intends - how each market is structured and staffed, where capability is built or bought, what the workforce costs, and where the employment risk sits. It carries both the strategic weight of an executive seat and the operational discipline required to run a distributed function well.
Based in Sydney, operating across multiple time zones.
Key responsibilities
Act as strategic People partner to the Group CEO and business leaders, contributing to commercial and growth decisions and advising on their organisational, capability, cost and risk implications
Develop and lead the group People strategy, aligned to the group's expansion plans and business priorities

mobility and employer-of-record arrangements
Lead organisation design and workforce planning across the group's distribution, software, commerce, finance and engineering businesses, including structure, spans of control, role clarity and headcount governance
Establish and maintain a group job architecture, levelling framework and reward philosophy, benchmarked against relevant market data and developed in partnership with the CFO
Own performance management, calibration, succession planning and leadership development across the group's senior population
Lead global talent acquisition strategy, including oversight of senior and executive recruitment and a consistent, defensible selection process
Harmonise People systems across jurisdictions and ensure accurate global payroll, reliable reporting and analytics on headcount, people cost and attrition to support executive decision-making
Own the group culture and engagement agenda: measurement and follow-through that leaders act on, and the integration of founder-led, newly established and geographically distributed teams into a coherent group culture
Candidate profile
15+ years of progressive HR leadership, including a group, global or multi-region People leadership role with regional teams reporting in
Experience leading a People function of comparable size across multiple countries

Strong analytical capability, with ownership of headcount, people cost, productivity and attrition metrics
