What you'll do
Lead the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure the financial health of the organization, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for various projects and initiatives.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation of tax returns and related filings.
Lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all financial records are in order.
Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in financial regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.
Participate in strategic planning sessions, providing financial insights that align with the company's long-term goals.
Drive process improvements within the finance department to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or a similar role, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations, with a proven track record of compliance.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or similar platforms is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing finance teams.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a robust sense of integrity and ethics in financial practices.
Nice to have
Experience in the veterinary or agricultural industries would be advantageous.
Familiarity with international financial regulations and practices, especially if the company operates in multiple countries.
Knowledge of advanced financial modeling techniques and tools.
Experience with financial forecasting and scenario analysis.
Previous involvement in mergers and acquisitions or business integration projects.
