Task & responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the laboratory, scheduling all necessary activities to be completed before production commences or delivery is required and supervising any employees assisting in those processes.
Manage and oversee quality control protocols and processes to ensure health and safety standards in the laboratory comply with regulatory frameworks.
Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory levels, including implementing any technical upgrades to existing equipment and ensuring adequate training regarding any upgrades.
Train and supervise Refinery Technicians, laboratory assistants and interns in the proper use of all laboratory equipment and the necessary safety procedures to follow within the laboratory.
Monitor and ensure all laboratory operations are performed according to specifications.
Review the results of studies, tests and analysis performed in the laboratory.
Plan,



organise and co-ordinate the quality management processes within the laboratory with a scope to continuous improvement.
Qualifications & experience
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
Years of experience in a laboratory setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of organic certification standards
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
